Police training

Safety and order are big deals in Vietnam. Walking around town you see security and police on just about every corner, and we have been "instructed" more than once about places we're allowed to go or not go; or where to sit or not sit, etc.

Here is a picture of a group of police on the campus of Libby's school that were being trained how to march.  As soon as the captain saw me taking a picture, he stopped what he was doing and started shouting at me to stop and waving me away.

We feel very safe in Vietnam -- there is a good reason there is little violent crime here -- but some days it feels like a double-edged sword.
